Buyers Beware

There’s a lot to keep in mind as you prepare to buy a home. Here’s a few things you should consider when you are ready:

Must haves

Ask yourself what your “non negotiables” are. With houses going as quickly as they are, it’s important to not lose sight of your must haves. Don’t make any rash decisions that you could regret. 

Strong smells

When you begin looking at houses, make sure you look with your nose as well as your eyes. If there is an overwhelming smell of air fresheners or even fresh paint, be careful that there aren’t any underlying issues.  

Buying a home without a real estate agent

The home buying and selling process is not as simple as it may appear. The right realtor is someone who has your best interest in mind. You can see this with them taking you to houses you can afford, answering your questions and concerns in a timely manner, and having your best interest at heart.

Wire Fraud

Be careful as you approach your home closing. Kyle Sheerin and his title office will never ask for a wire transfer, EVER!! If you get a suspicious email that you think may be fraud let us know asap. Trust your instincts; If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t!
